Llandegfan 1-12 Caergybi
A ruthless Cybi team swept Llandeg aside by inflicting yet another crushing victory on Arron Evans’ side on Saturday afternoon.
A controversial goal opened the scoring, when Dan Lowies kicked the ball out of Llandeg keeper Daniel Kendrick’s hands, who was adjudged not to have both hands on the ball and the goals stood. Soon after, it was 2-0 when Man of the Match James Ryan, who would later run riot in the match, fired home from close range.
Another goal from Ryan and an absolute thunderbolt from Glenn North gave the visitors a convincing 4-0 lead at the break. However, it was about to get a lot better for them in the second half.
After being quite wasteful at times in the first half, Cybi found their cutting edge in the second 45 and really put Llandeg to the sword. Ryan completed his hat-trick before Llandegfan pulled one back for 5-1 after some great link-up play between Dave Parry, debutante Elliot Jones and goalscorer Robert Boyes. Any hopes of a highly unlikely comeback were crushed when Dave Webb made it 5-1.
The prolific James Ryan went on to bag four more goals in the game, including an overhead kick before Mike Owen scored a spectacular diving header (below) and Dan Lowies poked home his second of the game to complete the scoreline.
The result leaves Caergybi in second place in the league, 6 points behind Bryngwran Bulls with two games in hand. Llandegfan on the other hand, are at rock bottom and are still desperately searching for their first win of the season.
James Ryan heads into the New Year as the league’s top scorer following his seven goal haul at Lon Ty Newydd on Saturday. Having hit 54 goals for Bryngwran in 2017/18, he has now already bagged 41 for Cybi this season.

Holyhead Hotspur Reserves 5-1 Bodorgan
Mike Kelly’s side picked up yet another impressive win as they put five past Bod who failed to get going in this one.
Deian Parry and Martin McClymont both took their personal goal-scoring tallies for the season up to six with a brace each and Ben Williams bagged the other goal as the home side cruised to victory. Iwan Parry’s second goal of the season was a mere consolation for Bodorgan.
The result leaves Hotspur Reserves in fourth place on 22 points, with a game in hand over Cefni who are one point behind them. Bodorgan, who have improved greatly this season, currently sit in sixth place on 19 points.

MEGAN CUP
Arriva Bangor 1-6 Bryngwran Bulls
Bryngwran eased through to the semi-finals of the Megan Cup with a straightforward win over Arriva at Beach Road.
Richard Owen’s side found themselves 3-0 up after just 18 minutes in this one thanks to goals from Matty Roberts, Gwynfor Owen and Jerome Sillence putting them in the driving seat. Arriva looked for a way back into the game and there was slight hope just before the half hour mark when some poor defending from The Bulls saw Jason Roberts head in from a corner.
Any hopes of a miraculous comeback were quickly cancelled out though when a ball floated in from Arwyn Williams saw Matty Roberts bag his second goal of the game. on 39 minutes, Roberts then made it 5-1, completing his hat-trick from the penalty spot.
The scoreline remained the same for quite some time, with Arriva rarely troubling Konner Druce in the Bryngwran net. The Bulls had to wait until seven minutes from time to find their sixth and final goal – Sillence grabbing his second of the game.
Bryngwran will now face a home tie against the winner of Hotspur Reserves or Cemaes Bay (game which is to be played this Wednesday) in the semi-finals.

Pentraeth Reserves 2-1 Llanfairpwll
The Reserves will be joining The Bulls in the final four after claiming a well-fought victory over Pwll.
Goals from captain Tom Jones and Kenny Williams’ 12th strike of the season handed Danny Jones’ side a precious victory. Ryan Evans had pulled one back late on to put the pressure on for the visitors, but the hosts held out to progress.
The result was a massive improvement for the home side from the last time these two met, in a game which Llanfair had won 6-0.
The Reserves will not meet either Valley or Cefni in the final four of the Megan Cup.
