AFTER a difficult start to the 21/22 season, Mountain Rangers eventually began to find their feet in North Wales Coast West Division One.
The club was unable to win any of its first 7 matches of the season with many members of the 19/20 Anglesey League runner-up squad having departed for pastures new and manager Alex Philp had to rebuild and fast.
And he did a fantastic job of mixing some very talented young players in with some more experienced ones who have done well to push Rangers forward to an 11th pace finish.
One of the best signings he made was undoubtedly Aled Rice, who finished the season as the club’s top scorer.

The attacker has been great from the very start, scoring on his debut for the club in an important 3-2 win over Bethesda Rovers.
Rice followed that up with a goal and an assist in a 3-2 Junior Cup win at Y Glannau in the following match before his brace led Rangers to another 3-2 victory over Cefni in the next match after that.
All in all, the 30-year-old scored 10 times in 26 league appearances and 13 goals in 29 matches overall.
A key player for Rangers!
