PICTURE BY Richard Gregson shows Davies in Llangoed’s away kit.
NEXT up in this series is another young player who has been absolutely fearless in his first season of senior football.
The versatile Ashley Davies has been a consistent performer for Llangoed this season and deserves some praise for his efforts.
He’s a player who can play in a number of different positions, predominantly in defence, and never shys away from a challenge.

Davies, 16 when the season started, has played in 24 matches across all competitions for the Puffins this season, as well as in 2 matches for the reserves team.
Perhaps his most impressive performance of all came when he scored and assisted in a 4-0 win over Cefni in March.
Davies clearly has a bright future ahead of him, a sentiment which is echoed by club officials.
Llangoed manager David ‘Twm’ Thomas told AFEFootballNews: “Ashley is strong, skilful, and tactically aware. It doesn’t matter where we’ve played him this season he’s given everything and always wants to improve and learn, a great player for the future right there.”
