MANY clubs in North Wales Coast West Division One have already/will be completing their 21/22 campaigns this week.
Llanerchymedd were crowned the inaugural champions of the league following a 1-1 draw at Talysarn Celts’ Gloddfa Glai ground on Wednesday evening.
And with the season slowly but surely coming to an end, clubs are now finishing their league campaigns one by one.
One of those to have completed their first ever Division One season last night (Thursday, May 5) was Llangoed who picked up their second win in their last 3 matches.
It’s been a tough season for the club as they finish 14th out of 16, but the end of their campaign has shown signs of promise.
Following a big 2-0 win over Y Fali last week, the Puffins lost 2-0 at Waunfawr but bounced back last night with a big 3-2 win over Bontnewydd at Tyddyn Paun.
Llangoed took the lead through captain Matty Owen’s close-range finish on 33mins.

A Llion Roberts penalty then put the home team in control of the tie just before half time.
Player-manager David ‘Twm’ Thomas, who came on a substitute for David Parry, then made it 3-0 as Llangoed edged close to the three points.
However, a red card for Llangoed midfielder Sam Eaden gave Bont hope and they fought back well late on.
Goals from Alun Williams (90’) and Alex Kalafusz (92’) provided a late scare but Llangoed held on for the win.

Also impressive a few days earlier were Cefni who managed to beat Mountain Rangers 5-0 in what was the latter’s final match of the season.
On Tuesday night (May 3), Nathan Lewis was the hat-trick hero for the Llangefni club with Warren Fletcher and Luke Allaway also on target.
That was just the 6th win of the season for Cefni who still have 3 matches to play this season against Bodorgan (May 7), Bontnewydd (May 14) and Llanystumdwy (May 21).
