WHAT a season this man is having with high-flying Pwll in North Wales Coast West Division One so far.

The club itself is well and truly flourishing under the guidance of a top young coaching team in Gwyndaf Hughes and Danny Connolly.

Pwll currently sit in fourth place in the tier five table, having picked up an impressive 35pts in their opening 18 matches of the 21/22 season.

Two players have well and truly stood out for them. The first, who I featured last week, is Jay Finter and the second, is Marky Holland.

Between them, the pair have notched up a combined 35 goals in all competitions making them one of the deadliest duos in the division.

25-year-old attacker Holland has scored 15 goals in all competitions, 13 of them coming in 17 appearances in the league.

A former player of Pentraeth in the Welsh Alliance, he’s proven his class in tier five so far this season and has been a nightmare for defenders to deal with.

Holland’s most recent goals came in Pwll’s most recent match as he scored a brace in a 3-0 win over Mountain Rangers at Maes Eilian.

His most impressive performance though arguably came in the massive 2-0 win at Cemaes Bay in November. He assisted a goal for Luke Owen and netted a penalty late on to secure the 3 points under the lights at School Lane that night.

A striker playing with real confidence right now, it’ll be interesting to see how many goals Holland can end up on come May time and whether or not those goals can go on to help underdogs Pwll win a piece of silverware this season.
