I HAD heard good things said about this man before the first time I saw him play. And having now seen him in action a few times I can say that I now know why people said those things!
Bodorgan are a club well and truly on the up at the moment and had been on a 5-game unbeaten run in North Wales Coast West Division One before their 5-0 defeat to Bethesda Athletic last week.
One of the players helping Dave and John Webster’s side on to bigger and better things ia midfielder Steven Jones.
Since moving from Llangefni Town to Bod last year, the 22-year-old has been absolutely brilliant at times in the midfield.
Jones previously played as high up as the JD Cymru North (tier 2) when he played for Llangefni Town’s first team and even scored a winner against Llandudno.
He has well and truly proven his class for Bod this season, popping up with 8 goals in 15 appearances from the middle of the park.
One of his highlights of the season so far came as he netted a hat-trick against high-flying Bethesda Athletic. Pesda won 5-4 that day but Jones was a standout in that thrilling contest at Cae Cynlas back in August.
A fantastic player who is living proof of just how far Bod have come as a team over the last few seasons.
