LLANYSTUMDWY continued their impressive form in North Wales Coast West Division One with a massive 9-2 win at Holyhead Town.
Stumdwy made it 3 wins on the bounce in tier five having previously claimed 6-0 and 7-0 victories over Y Fali and Bethesda Rovers respectively. Town on the other hand were coming into this one having ended a 5 game losing streak by beating Bethesda Rovers 5-2 four days prior.
But it was the Gwynedd side who continued to show their class at Millbank and proved that they could yet go on to surprise quite a few teams in this division this season.
The Harbourmen of Holyhead started off brightly though and it was them who took the lead through Aidan Batsford just before the half hour mark.

Stumdwy responded incredibly well to that however, scoring four goals before half time to turn the tie around. Goal machine Sion Parry netted two before experienced goalscorers Mark Godfrey and Darren Parry also grabbed one goal apiece before the break.
Skipper Kyle Williams then put the visitors 5-1 up soon after the re-start before Godfrey, who hit 10 goals for the club in 2019/20, helped himself to a brace on 54mins.

Prolific forward James Ryan then pulled a goal back for Town – his fifth in as many matches this season – before Godfrey completed his hat-trick for Stumdwy moments later with 20 mins left on the clock.
There was still time for the visitors to score two more goals however – two penalties being converted in the last 15 minutes of the tie.
Sion Parry scored from the spot first to complete his hat-trick. He’s now on 15 goals for the season in all competitions and is now just four goals shy of the 300 goals mark for his senior career at the age of 24.
Gruff Sion (below) then stepped up to convert a penalty of his own – making it three goals in three consecutive matches for him now.

Another brilliant win for the far-travelling Stumdwy who are in top form at the moment. Town on the other hand are way below where they would expect to be with just 6 points from their opening 7 matches this season.

Elsewhere in tier five on Saturday, Bethesda Rovers’ woes continued as Llanerchymedd beat them 7-0.
Goals from Ben Hughes (15’), Gwion Thomas (27’) and James Burgess (33’) put title-chasers Llan in command of the tie before Thomas fired in another just before half time to give them a four-goal cushion at the break.
Rovers went down to 10 men early on in the second half when Alec Jones was dismissed following two yellow cards in as many minutes.
Mark Jones then fired in his 6th goal of the season for Llan in all competitions just after the hour mark before substitute Llion Vaughan Jones scored a brace in the last 10 minutes of the match to complete the rout.
The win takes Llan up to joint-second in the division with 18 points (along with Waunfawr and Llanfairpwll who have played one and 3 more matches than Llan respectively).
