BETHESDA ATHLETIC have revealed that they will be welcoming back two former players as part of their back room staff for the new season.
The Parc Meurig outfit will play in North Wales Coast West Division One (tier five) when the 21/22 kicks off (hopefully) in July.

Mark Hughes (above), who won the Anglesey League with Mynydd Tigers in 2017/18 was announced as the club’s manager last year. His squad currently comprises of mostly very young, but nevertheless very talented, players – much like that Tigers side he enjoyed success with.
Today, Hughes has officially added two of Pesda’s former players – Mark Thomas and Dylan Griffiths to his and assistant Geraint ‘Gus’ Jones’ coaching staff.
Thomas is a former Welsh Premier player who was manager of Llangoed during the 2019/20 season and helped guide them to an eighth place finish in the Gwynedd League before departing earlier this year.
The 42-year-old former attacker, aka ‘Cabbage’, is a former Welsh Premier League player who represented Caernarfon Town and also played for the great Glantraeth side in the Cymru Alliance between 2004 and 2006.

Thomas (above) has also represented the likes of Cefni and new club Bethesda Athletic during a career spanning more than 20 years which will no doubt come in handy for the youngsters looking to learn all about the game at Bethesda.
Joining him on the Bethesda set-up will be Dylan Griffiths, who also previously played for, and coached with the Gwynedd club.
Confirming their appointments today, Mark Hughes said: “I’m really pleased with both appointments. I’ve known Mark a long time and his knowledge, experience and enthusiasm for the game will be a huge asset to the club. He’s also passionate about developing young players and therefore fits in with what we’re putting in place. Dylan, having previously been part of the club, knows what its all about and his infectious personality will be a tremendous benefit to the changing room’.“
