CORWEN may have endured a difficult season in the JD Cymru North in the 19/20 campaign, but this man was again a standout for the club.
The Denbighshire club, promoted to the JD Cymru North in the summer of 2019, was relegated to tier three along with Porthmadog and Llanfair United as the season came to an abrupt end in March 2020.
Evans however was again a key player in the squad at tier two level, putting in several MOTM performances.
The attacking midfielder was very influential in the year Corwen went up from the Welsh National League in 2018/19, scoring eight times in 36 appearances.
Since 2014, he’s scored just shy of 50 goals for the club and has made more than 150 appearances, establishing himself as a firm favourite.
Corwen officials were keen for me to highlight Evans’ importance despite what was a difficult campaign for the club, describing him as an ‘unsung hero’.
