IT MIGHT be the likes of Carl Jones and Dylan Sion Jones who more often than not steal the headlines for Nefyn United. However, it is the latter player’s brother who is often a key playmaker within the squad and deserves a mention.
Tomos Llewelyn enjoyed a fine campaign for a Nefyn side which finished as runners-up in the Gwynedd League come the end of a 2019/20 campaign which was cut short in March.
Winger Jones was really beginning to hit form at that point too – and was selected as AFEFootballNews fans’ Gwynedd League Player of the Month in January 2020 for his efforts. That month, the club beat Caergybi, Llanystumdwy and Trearddur Bay Bulls and also played out a thrilling 4-4 draw at Llangoed.
All in all, Jones scored five goals from out wide and also provided a number of assists during a memorable season for himself and the club.
