AFE’s Stars of the 2019/20 season: Cameron Eaton (Hotspur Reserves)

ANOTHER one of Hotspur’s talented young stars who enjoyed a brilliant campaign last season.

Eaton first burst onto the scene aged just 16. when he kept the likes of the prolific James Ryan, who was the 2018/19 Anglesey League top scorer with a record-breaking 74 goals for Caergybi, quiet when his Hotspur Reserves side took them on in that season.

That performance from the centre back that day spurred him onto even greater ones along the way in the season-and-half that followed. Under the guidance of new Hotspur Reserves manager Tom Scott in 2019/20, Eaton was ever-present in their defence.

And he also added goals to his game last season as he popped up with an impressive seven goals as Hotspur finished third in the Anglesey League.

For me, he’s been a star from day one and is continuing to flourish at Hotspur alongside plenty of other “wonder kids” who will no doubt go on to achieve big things in North Wales football in years to come.
