ONE of the most well-respected goal-scorers on the island by now, it was great to see Whittaker back in the Anglesey League in 2019/20.
The forward is held in high regard for what he’s achieved at Cemaes Bay over the years and a return last season only made his place in the clubs history books even more certain.
‘Tyco’ helped lead Cemaes Bay to the AL title during the league’s last year in its current form, as they narrowly beat Mountain Rangers to the trophy on Pointes Per Game (PPG).
The forward, who returned to School Lane from Welsh Alliance side Bodedern Athletic alongside a number of other former Bay players in the summer of 2019, showed his experience in front of goal as he netted 27 in the league and 12 in cups to give himself a total tally of 39 goals. Not bad at all especially when considering he missed a few games through a back injury.
His contribution was key to his side during the season and he has re-committed to Darren Thomas’ side ahead of any potential league restart for 2020/21 too which is great news for the club.
