THE New Saints Champions League hero Scott Quigley has made a sensational £35k switch from the Welsh champions to League One side Blackpool today.
The 24-year-old scored all four goals in TNS 4-3 aggregate victory over Gibraltan side FC Europa in their Champions League tie last month, before they crashed out to Croatian side Rijeka.
The talented striker has now signed a two year deal at Blackpool with the option of adding a further year. The fee is said to be around £35,000, which could rise to £50,000 in the future.

A whole host of other clubs, including Peterborough United, were also said to be interested in signing the forward.
He leaves TNS having spent eight years a the club, winning every major Welsh honour during that period and scoring 25 goals in 89 WPL appearances. He also has six goals in 13 Champions League appearances for the Welsh champions.
Quigley also spent time on loan at Caersws, Carmarthen Town and Cefn Druids.
Speaking to Blackpool FC’s official website, he said: “I’m really happy to be here and I’m looking forward to a new challenge. I’m just eager to get going and start training.
“I’m 24 now and it’s about time I made the step in to the English system. I’m glad to have this opportunity to prove myself.”
Blackpool boss Gary Bowyer said: “He’s a young, powerful forward who fits in with the model we’re trying to develop at the club.
“He’s good with both feet, has played and scored in Champions League qualifiers and is now hungry to work hard and make the breakthrough in English football.”
Quigley is the latest in a long line of players to swap playing in Wales for playing in the English football league system. Rhys Healey, Gary Roberts, Mark Delaney, Lee Trundle and Tom Bradshaw are just a few examples of others who have successfully made the leap before.
From watching him play, I can tell you that Blackpool have bagged themselves a top striker here and I think he could do very well for them if he’s given a proper chance.
